In TERRA base, the damping effect is achieved via four support feet (patent pending) made of a mixed composite UHm Carbon Prepreg + Polymer
To obtain an optimal coupling between the electronic and the base are present in the upper four “islands” made of carbon fiber prepreg UHm 4mm thick, their shape and position allows to accommodate the majority of commercial electronic equipement.

The use of these dampers, exploiting the mass of the device together with the mass supplied in high density wood block allows to largely absorb the vibrations in the10Hz-1kHz band, a critical range  for many equipment that generates a considerable decay in the listening quality.

We have developed a special equipment with a dedicated sofware which allows us to perform the accelerometric measurements necessary to test and develop our products.

In the graphs you can see an example of how the efficiency of absorption is variable with the frequency and is dependent on the total mass.

In the audible range the total asorption vary from 10% to a stunning 90%....The results are the only things that really matters.
